From Carrick-on-Shannon

Take the R280 to Leitrim. In Leitrim village turn left towards Keadue (R284).
About half a mile down this road you cross a narrow stone bridge—Battlebridge—which passes over the river Shannon and a canal. Beirne's Inn and Campground is on your left immediately after the bridge.

From Dublin

As you approach Carrick-on-Shannon on the N4, you enter a roundabout just outside the town centre. Follow the sign for 'Town Centre (R280)'. Follow the street. After a sharp bend to the left, watch for the immediate right turn to 'Leitrim, Keadue and Drumshanbo (R280)'. Take this turn and follow the road to Leitrim village. In Leitrim village you pass over a bridge as you enter the village. Take the next left turn, sign-posted to 'Keadue and Ballyfarnon (R284)'. About half a mile down this road you cross a narrow stone bridge—Battlebridge—which passes over the river Shannon and a canal. Beirne's Inn and Campground is on your left immediately after the bridge.

From Belfast

Take the M1 to Dungannon where it merges into the A4. Follow the A4 through Enniskillen to Blacklion. There the road changes its name to the N16. Follow the N16 and turn left on the R207 towards Dowra/Carrick-on-Shannon. Follow the R207 all the way through Dowra and Drumshanbo to Leitrim village. In Leitrim village turn right on R284 towards Keadue and Ballyfarnon. About half a mile down this road you cross a narrow stone bridge—Battlebridge—which passes over the river Shannon and a canal. Beirne's Inn and Campground is on your left immediately after the bridge.

From Knock

Take the N17 to Charlestown. Turn right on the N7 to Frenchpark. Turn left on the R361 to Boyle. Turn right on the N4 towards Carrick-on-Shannon. Pass by Lough Key Forest Park on your left-hand side. After about one mile watch for a left turn to Cootehall/Drumboylan. Follow this road and keep straight on through Cootehall (the sign says 'Drumboylan'). After about 3 miles (5 kilometres) you approach the crossroads at Battlebridge. Beirne's Inn and Campground is on your right hand side.
